Scott joined Capital One in August 2011 as Senior Vice President and Chief Model Risk Officer (responsible for model risk management across the enterprise), as well as to lead Capital One’s Enterprise Analytic R&D function. In March of 2014, he was also named Enterprise Data Executive, in which capacity he will ensure a consistent well-managed position on data quality for the organization. In addition, Scott is heavily focused on the continued development of Statistician, Quant, and Data Scientist community across the company. Prior to joining Capital One, Scott was most recently a Chief Actuary of Travelers Insurance, leading their advanced analytics, modeling, data, and business intelligence initiatives.
